At Reefy, we’re on a mission to restore marine ecosystems through innovative and sustainable solutions — and we’re growing fast. As our Operations Lead, you’ll play a critical role in building the operational foundation that supports this growth.

You’ll bring clarity, structure, and strategic execution to our daily operations, translating the founders vision into actionable day-to-day realities, enabling our team to stay focused on maximizing environmental impact. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, people-savvy, and driven — ready to evolve our internal systems, upscaling processes, and embed sustainability into every layer of how we operate.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead the operational core of a purpose-driven startup, guiding us from early-stage momentum to a scale-up improving underwater life at a large scale.

You will have full authority and accountability on the execution of commercial projects to ensure positive performance and impact; and manage the office, processes and efficiency.

Here are some of your core responsibilities:

• Oversee and continuously improve day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, agility, and resilience in a dynamic startup environment;

• Design and implement scalable systems and processes that support growth while positioning Reefy at the highest sustainability standards;

• Act as the go-to person for operational challenges, proactively solving problems and improving processes;

• Own administrative and financial tasks such as bookkeeping coordination, budget monitoring, and monthly reporting;

• Preparing investment materials and updates, business performance reports, and strategic insights for key decision-making;

• Work closely with leadership to support strategy development and translate it into operational execution and metrics;

• Ensure cross-functional alignment by fostering collaboration between departments and maintaining consistent communication across the team and offices;

• Collaborate with the R&D team to identify and apply for relevant grants and subsidies that align with Reefy’s mission and innovation roadmap;

• Balance financial performance with sustainable practices to ensure mission-aligned profitability and long-term viability;

• Integrate environmental, social, and governance considerations into operations, logistics, sourcing, and partnerships;

• Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring nature, client expectations, and quality are key bones of the deliverables in coordination with the technical team;

• You have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy juggling both strategic tasks and practical execution;

• You have experience or affinity with financial operations, subsidies, and project coordination;

• You’re comfortable with ambiguity and excited to help build processes, systems, and culture from the ground up;

• You care about nature, sustainability, and being part of a mission-driven team making global impact;

• You live near Delft and enjoy being part of a hands-on, supportive team at the office.
